Hello, my name is Lisa O’Gorman and I am a proud member of a military family. My father and two uncles were in the Air Force, and two other uncles were in the Army. I am very involved with my local American Legion, Post 1038, in Valhalla, NY. I love knowing that our work is directly impacting, improving and supporting the lives of the men and women who are fighting for our freedom.
When I was searching for support after I was diagnosed with PTSD due to severe surgery complications, I felt like no one understood what I was going through. My soul and spirit were stolen. I tried conventional talk therapy, EMDR and even tried the recommended prescriptions to alleviate my suffering. Nothing worked.
I discovered Emotional Freedom Techniques. This self-help tool moved me through my trauma and ended my suffering. From there, I discovered my new path and began EFT Certified training. During my EFT training, I was blessed to work with my instructor Dawson Church on my remaining stress experience. Twenty minutes of EFT with Dawson, eliminated the remaining stress and emotional upheaval from my PTSD. My work with EFT accomplished what two years of therapy and drugs didn’t touch. I felt like I was given a new life. I am also Thriving after Breast Cancer and have been in remission from Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis for over 30 years.
In addition to being a Clinical EFT practitioner, I am also a Certified Executive Chef. As a chef and instructor, I guide clients to better health using food as medicine.
I have worked with both children and adults with trauma and the results are exciting and productive. I am passionate about sharing my experience and expertise with EFT with those who are interested because I know it’s highly effective.
